Situated within the historic Chelsea Physic Garden, the Tangerine Dream Cafe serves a delicious range of salads and hot mains, as well as its famous home cooked cakes. Jubilee weekend saw some new additions to the menu, with special afternoon high teas, nostalgic takes on classics such as Coronation Chicken, and a wonderful fruit stuffed Pimms Jelly.
The southern side of the Garden runs down to the embankment, and although not actually blessed with a viewing area for the river its close proximity made it a great place for popping into during the Jubilee flotilla for some much needed respite from the crowded streets of London. The Garden and Cafe considerably extended their opening hours over the bank holiday weekend and the cafe will had a stall by the embankment gates selling a simplified range
for those just wishing for some high quality food or drink on the go.
Entrance to the garden is £9, with free tours during the afternoon, and enquiries regarding the garden and bookings for the cafe can be made on 0207 352 5646.
