
Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal KG, KT, GCVO, Colonel in Chief The King’s Royal Hussars took the salute on Sunday 12th May 2013 at the Annual Parade and Service of The Combined Cavalry Old Comrades Association at the Cavalry Memorial adjacent to the Bandstand in Hyde Park. This was the 89th Anniversary of the unveiling and dedication of the Memorial.
A total of 5 bands lead marching detachments of the Cavalry and Yeomanry Regimental Associations and Veterans ranging from World War 2 to Iraq and Afghanistan. Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal lay the Combined Cavalry wreath at the Cavalry Memorial and then attended the open air church service which follows the march past for both serving and former soldiers of all Regiments of Regular Cavalry and many Yeomanry Regiments.
Representatives of Commonwealth countries Australia, Canada, Fiji, India, New Zealand and, Pakistan also attended.
