Lush is nowadays seen as a multinational business with stores worldwide. On Thursday 23rd of May, thanks to the Chelsea Fringe Show, Kensington and Chelsea Today were lucky enough to find out more about Lush products, ethic responsibility and their wonderful King’s Road Shop.
Mark and Mo [Constantine] began brewing their concoctions in the small space of their bedroom during the 1980s. With their passion and belief they set up a clinic of their own whilst supplying products to the Body Shop. Once this partnership terminated, the married couple set up a mail order business to sell their innovative, herbal products, however due to various business reasons ‘Cosmetics To Go’ the company failed.
Soon after the founders managed to brush themselves off and reopen at their old location (High Street) and renamed the business with a help of a few loyal customers.
