Lots Road Auction House is providing locals and visitors the opportunity to get their hands on a bargain this summer.
Nick Carter, one of the leading auctioneers at Lots Road Auctions explains how “July and August are notoriously quiet months and it is the perfect time to pick up a bargain at the Auction House as items sell at highly competitive prices, even for the high street.”
Lots Road Auctions’ clientele used to be mainly local however Nick explains that the Internet has leveled the playing field for all Auction houses by widening their market reach to broader audiences including the international market place.
The auction house provides a variety of contemporary and antique items for sale and since 1979 has held major auctions every Sunday, including Bank Holidays where between 500 and 600 lots are auctioned. In addition to this they hold one specialist sale each month and items range from decorative items to contemporary art, furniture and garden objects.
Lots Road is in the top ten auction houses in the UK because of the regularity of their sales. They turn over between 100,000 to 250,000 a week and gross anything between seven to ten million a year.
