Young Chelsea is the creative offspring of Kensington and Chelsea Today and like most progeny ‘it takes a village’ to mold, form and guide it through the frivolity of youth to successful maturation. This is where you, the wonderful readers and contributors of this section come in. Over the past year we have had a number of you dictate, through your articles, opinion pieces, views, poems or reviews the direction of the much loved section. We want Young Chelsea to grow up into something we are all proud of, so whether you find yourself on holidays from Uni, Skiing in Alps or trawling down the King’s Road for January bargains, we are sure you have opinions a plenty. An hour in the life of a rescue is an overwhelming experience to say the least. Whilst ignoring the sounds of impatient barks ringing in my ears I manage to greet each dog with a stroke and a smile. You want to go into each kennel to comfort all these broken souls, crooning them to sleep, hoping that one day they will be adored also. Battersea Dogs and Cats Home (BDCH) honor their promise to never turn a dog nor cat away. Since 1860 they have nurtured over three million abandoned animals across their three sites (London, Berkshire and Kent).
